Risk is a part of daily life, but our attitudes and approaches to risk vary depending on a range of factors such as context, time, situation, previous experience, etc. To assess different situation, we will use different approach as well as if we are considering risk that we are taking in personal life or risks that service user are taking in theirs. The risk assessment process is not about creating huge amounts of paperwork; it is about identifying and taking sensible and proportionate measures to control the risks.
