I have been to Universal Studios Orlando twice in my life. Both were amazing experiences but only one can be classified as my favorite day. Because of a want to fix a familial bond, a day visiting the world of Harry Potter in Universal is the best day of my life. To preface this story it must be understood that this day would not have been nearly as special if it had not been preceded by a time period of pain. My parents divorced when I was around eleven, unfortunately I did not get along with the woman my father remarried. After years of tension building I walked out of my dad’s house. It would give us time to patch together a stressed relationship and also mentally prepare both of us for the years I would spend serving in the military. The main reason we chose Universal was because of the new Harry Potter section of Islands of Adventure. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone was one of the first books I remember my dad reading me before bed. The first thing I remember as we were parking at the park was seeing the castle and my body began to feel light as all the worries of training for boot camp and awkwardness from our problems seemed to wash away. The designers at Islands of Adventure created the park with small lake that the different islands surround. Hogwarts castle is directly opposite the entrance of the park.
