SWOSU intramural football team, “Happy Campers”, competed in the NIRSA Regional Championship in Lincoln, Nebraska this past weekend. The Happy Campers have won the past four SWOSU Flag Football Championships and have gone undefeated all four years. With that record, the Happy Campers had the opportunity to travel to the University of Nebraska to play in the NIRSA Regional Championship which featured around 40 teams.
It can be hard in Texas sometimes to get into the spirit of autumn in late September; as the rest of the country gets cold fronts and starts eating soup we are still rockin’ the high 80s and swimming on the weekends. Luckily, we can kind of have our pumpkin cake and eat it too by relishing the seasonable weather outdoors and appreciating all the marvelous things that fall has to offer! As modern Americans think about how lucky we are in some situations and problems. Because for some people, there is or was not any such as luck or escape from the situations and problems like we have today. In the antebellum South and a prison camp Camp 14 in North Korea, their lives are different and hard. In addition, they all lived in the conditions that threaten, oppress, and brainwash them. For them, they don’t have any choice for education and freedom.
The Iowa State Fair is the most influential events throughout the state of Iowa during the month of August. This is a place where one can go to experience shows, art, food, and see livestock from all around the country. Most people however, go to this fair simply to have fun. On my visit to the Iowa State Fair in the previous summer, tasting all of the different foods, quality of the rides and the positive attitude from the carnival workers highly encourages me to come back year after year.
At this time in Las Vegas it was controlled by business/mob men. " Events that defined the African American community in Las Vegas throughout the Civil Rights era. African Americans could not go into hotel casinos, shows, gamble or lounges. If you were a black celebrity or entertainer they would have to enter through the back door of the casino, walk through the kitchen and get to the stage area to perform.
Ocean City Boardwalk in Maryland was created in 1902. It started out as five blocks used by the local hotels and is now a mile long. Trimpers Carousel is the longest running operating carousel since its creation in 1912. The boardwalk has many specialty shops as well as amusement rides. The United States Coast Guard station and the Ocean City Life Saving Museum are also there.
Superman I have always been petrified of heights. This dates all the way back to when I would peer off the edge of the enormous playset in my backyard as a kid. Looking over the breezy, towering side, hands clammy, and mouth dry, it would send shivers down my spine.
Vortex Springs A place I visited awhile back was Vortex Springs. It was located in Ponce de Leon, Florida and it is a state park. My friends invited me to come support a friend that was going to be in a concert that night and I am glad I took that offer because Vortex Springs is a beautiful place.
Magic Kingdom is the most small child friendly park at Disney World. Most of the rides are slow and most of them are not considered thrill rides. Although all the parks have, a lot of scenery Magic Kingdom definitely has the most. There is a giant replica of the castle from Cinderella that can be seem from most parts of the park. We only rode a few rides while we were there but most of the fun at Disney World is the experience not the rides.
Loud Disney theme music and gorgeous colors are flaunted on every corner. There is not one person in the place that is not having a great time. Booming laughs and bright smiles fill the park on a daily basis. Disneyland is broken up into different sections in correlation to the theme. Disney has Fantasyland,

The Red Hat I always go to the park about 10 minutes away from my house. I go with my friend, Marcus. So, like any other day, Marcus and I head to the park. The park is really fun to go to. It has a slide, monkey bars, a jungle gym, basically all of the stuff a regular park has.
