The United Parcel Service (UPS) first started in 1907 as a small private messenger service and has since grown into the largest package delivery company in the world (Company History, 2018). UPS has been able to accomplish this task by implementing logistics throughout their supply chain. By not only reaching out to residential customers but also business customers, UPS has opened various doors that has allowed them to grow their business enormously. This research will discuss what UPS offers to their business customers to get them to want their business. They simplify the business customers concepts so they can get the most cost-efficient and effective way to achieve their goals (What is Logistics, 2018). Their business customers are looking for someone who can tailor to their specific needs. UPS understands what the customers of their business consumers want and how to give it to them at a fast, convenient pace. They understand the buying decision process. They understand that they must be reliable and consistent with their business customers since they are relying on them to get their customers the finished product at a promised rate.
