Over the centuries, the discovery of Aspirin has made one of the major advances in our health care. Founded by Felix Hoffman in 1897, today it is the most effective and frequently dispensed medicines in the world. Further research has shown the evolution of aspirin over the years, providing discoveries that have the potential to reduce risks of blood clots, heart attacks and even cancer. Such development of drugs in the medical world and increased focus on prevention of illnesses has encouraged me to pursue a career in pharmacy.
Listening to online podcast on radio 4 and reading up on the latest healthcare news has highlighted topics of debate and controversial issues within society. This inspired me to choose Anti shisha awareness as my focus for my graphics brief- “Using Graphics for Good”. In this brief I explored the dangers of shisha and emphasised the harmful side effects which are often ignored and overlooked. This project allowed me to express my interest and passion for the healthcare we have in the UK as well as promoting and maintaining good health, which plays a major part in becoming a successful pharmacist. …show more content…
