Trooper Doherty stated that he asked Tiffany Taylor about their travel itinerary and the odor. Alexa Kersting was a young fourteen-year-old girl from West Fargo waiting for a life-changing lung transplant. Kersting was diagnosed with lung disease by the age of seven, and developed pulmonary hypertension-- high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of the heart-- by the age of twelve (“Pulmonary Hypertension”). Once she was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, she was placed on the transplant waiting list, and for the upcoming months Alexa was on that list, she was on oxygen twenty-four hours a day. Unfortunately, she could never do any of the things other “normal” children could do due to her illnesses and treatments, meaning her hobbies had to be less strenuous, such as piano and art. Thankfully,
Another heroic civilian was George Walters, a dockyard worker who used a rolling crane positioned alongside the battleship USS Pennsylvania. When the yard was fired at during the beginning of the raid, he valiantly moved his crane back and forth on its track, effectively blocking Pennsylvania from low flying dive-bombers and fighters. Gunners on the Pennsylvania considered the dockworker a nuisance at first, but they soon realized that his 50-foot-high cab gave him an excellent view of incoming zeros. Using the movements of the crane arm, they were able to return fire against the enemy. Walters continued his maneuvers until a Japanese bomb exploded on the dock and sent him to the hospital with a concussion.
In the article There was no Offensive-Defensive Confederate Strategy Donald Stroker wanted to prove that Vandiver, a celebrated historian and professor was wrong about the strategy used in the Confederacy during the civil war. Stroker brought up points such as “The biggest problem is Vandiver’s first words: “His strategy was the offensive-defensive.” At no point does Vandiver present any evidence that Davis ever decided to prosecute such a strategy.” (Stroker, pg. 8) Stroker had jumped from explaining how the offensive-defensive could have possibly been a strategy in the Confederacy, to proving how it was not an option, and how there was no evidence to show that it was an option.
Jonathan Edwards version of God was very aggressive and unforgiving. Insult after continuing insult, this does not seem like the Jesus Christ with the wonderful forgiving spirit. With the words, “God hates you,” repeated multiple times throughout the sermon, it is truly hypocritical that the God described as forgiving and loving of all would say “I hate you,” every five minutes. I personally feel like this is not the way God would like to be described, and that God would much rather liked to be showed as a forging and gentle spirit.
Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.
Annette’s reason for admittance at the hospital is an overall weakness, flu-like symptoms, and difficulty with breathing (Prizio, n.d.). She is diagnosed with diabetic acidosis, left upper lobe pneumonia, and a bacterial infection (Prizio, n.d.). Unfortunately, her condition becomes worse. Annette’s right lung collapses, her heart rate is irregular, and she has an episode of unresponsiveness that leads to mechanical ventilation (Prizio, n.d.). Annette has challenges weaning off the mechanical ventilation, which resulted in the placement of a tracheostomy and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube (Prizio, n.d.).
Society’s values influence people to construct their personal mores around them, and those who do not are not accepted by society. In our society, those who have well-paying careers are valued above those who do not. So when McCandless decided against following the path society expects him to, his parents were upset. “Chris informed his parents that he had no intention of going to college. When Walt and Billie suggested that he needed a college degree to attain a fulfilling career, Chris answered that careers were demeaning ‘twentieth-century inventions,’ more of a liability than an asset, and that he would do fine without one, thank you” (114).
These facts suggest that the tractor should not be considered as a gift because there is nothing to prove that the tractor was a donative intent of Marcella. There is neither a delivery nor an acceptance. In this case, because Christine borrowed the old tractor from her mother, she should have a prove saying that she will return the equipment. Also, Christine traded the old tractor for a new one. She should also pay Marcella for the sale of the old tractor.
People rebel when no justice being served. It is understandable why people act a certain way. Have you ever loved someone more than yourself? A person is your biggest pride and joy to be safe? Can you imagine how it feels to no longer have your pride and joy with in a split second, due to the way they look?
Sometimes in we know things are wrong but this rive some people to want to do it even more. How I see it is Felicia Robinson opponent wanted to win so bad that they decide to twist the facts and push people to think about a heated subject. When Felica district attorney found out about the schema and decide to use it, for their advantage shows that any good morals could be turned to something wrong. Felica has a very tough choice, and most likely would have to make a decision soon. One thing Felicia has to remember is this Is a campaign.

Hellen Keller overcame her disabilities to become a great author and a lead example to all people with disabilities to show that nothing is impossible. Having no way to communicate or see my surroundings is impossible to imagine and is a great obstacle to overcome especially more than 100 years ago. I would imagine that my life would be completely different with two major disabilities such as Hellen Keller and would be very difficult without a great teacher like Anne Sullivan. I would feel trapped if I were to lose my ability to use language later in life and would not know what to do. I would not be able to talk, see, read or write and that leaves me with no form of communication.
