To convey those changes Viramontes uses some literature elements such as tone and paradox. Things starts when Estrella comes upon Perfecto’s red tool chest. When she opened the box she was disoriented because she did not understand what were the functions of the the tools.
In the except from the novel “ Under the feet of Jesus” by Helena Maria Viramontes shows the development of Estrella from being angry to understanding what she needed to do to succeed. The author uses figurative language and selection of detail to show the changes Estrella’s character went through, which reveals that knowing what things are is beneficial. The author uses figurative language like similes and metaphors to show Estrella’s frustration with her teacher and her understanding of tools. The author says, “ all that a jumbled steel inside the box… seemed as confusing and foreign as the alphabet she could not decipher.”
Estrella appears to be a child from a different country who has moved with her family to an English-speaking country. Trying to adapt to her new surroundings, she often finds herself confused. In addition to feeling confused, she also thinks that she is being ignored by those around her every day. However, Estrella does not notice the things others see in regards to her outward appearance. Despite the opinions of outsiders, a man, Perfecto Flores, finally helps her achieve her overall goal.

The first “The Last Supper” artwork completed in 1393 during Medieval times, clearly portrays the meal as a religious event, compared to the artwork in document 4 In Which without the title most people would not recognize the religious event. The first artwork shows the 13 disciples 12 of which all have religious halos over their heads. The 13 figures also don’t have that much detail in them and could almost look as if they were frozen in time without any movement. Jesus is also in the back and is sticking up a little more than the other figures, he is also holding a cup and is blessing one of the disciples who is laying down right in front of him. Just showing that he is blessing him shows the religious side to this event.
It also cleared the doubt of reader about this article. I support to the way author present out his mind. He used artistic conception to describe the public’s action. This is a very sagacious way to attract the readers’

Why I chose this painting is because it shows linear perspective that is everything is pointing towards the head of Christ. It is also approximately symmetrical balance. It shows that it is roughly balanced on both sides.
