Book Analysis This book is a fiction story of Victoria Webster written by Diana Webster (a British woman) about her struggling life. There are some ethical and professional issues in the book which need to consider well. Diana Webster had mentioned her dissatisfaction over cesarean section while giving birth to her daughter. Sometimes, Healthcare Professionals should be more ethical while treating patients. Patient dignity and respect is another part of this story. Victoria was not well-treated by her fellow mates and professional staff because of her handicapped situation. It seems to be biased. every person has value, dignity, self-esteem which Victoria has not felt. Similarly, Communication is a crucial part of the healthcare sector. Diana had got much difficulty to communicate with the hospital staff because of the language problem. This is a responsible issue which should be focused very importantly in the nursing sector. Diana has proved her a good mother by motivating and encouraging positively to her daughter (Victoria) to become a medical doctor, which is a good and positive aspect of this story. This story has taught us good inspiration and positive hope. In professional viewpoint, one (medical staff) should not discourage to their students on the base of age, sex, education, income and disability, Victoria (a handicapped girl) was told to leave the school to give the place to other good students, this is unprofessional and unethical too. it might affect the morale of the people very badly and create an unconducive
