Many football fans have probably heard of Vince Lombardi, have you? He started of in the NFL as the New York Giants assistant coach, and later on, the head coach of the Green Bay Packers, where he won three NFL titles, and two Super Bowls, with a winning percentage of .753, and never had a losing season, for nine years. It’s pretty incredible that a team that was 1-10-1 the last season, could later on win so much. Now, I will tell you about what led him up, to all the fame. Many people question how he was able to do so good at the Packers, a team that was known for being horrible, to winning multiple Super Bowls and Titles, finishing off with 96-34-6 NFL coaching record. Many people say it was his attitude towards trying to win. One of his quotes were, “Winning isn’t everything, but the will to win is.” (Vince Lombardi) You could say it’s because of another one of his quotes, “Once you learn to quit, it becomes a bad habit” (Vince Lombardi) the quote the he used to make his players never quit, and always work harder every practice, game, and season, they enter into.
