Synopsis Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are three young orphans who faced miserable lives after the death of their parents. One day, while they were enjoying their time on the beach, Mr. Poe a banker and a close friend of their parents, comes to them with bad news which made them cry and panic. The news was that their home was burned and their parents have died in a disastrous fire. No one actually knows the story behind the burning of their house and the murderer of their parents. Fortunately, Mr. Poe promises to find them a new guardian who will take care of them and watch over the massive fortune their parents left behind. He treated the Baudelaire orphans badly. He gave them one small bed to share and a cardboard box to keep their cloth in. He also gives them very difficult, strenuous tasks to do. One day, Count Olaf orders the kids to cook dinner for his theater group. Unfortunately, the kids get punished and Klaus gets slapped on his face for not cooking him the meal he wants. The next day, Count Olaf insists that the children perform in his upcoming theatrical. Violet will play the part of the bride and marry Count Olaf on stage. The children were surprised that Count Olaf was treating them well, but the thing they don’t know is that he wants to marry Violet in order to get his hands on the Baudelaire fortune. The three orphans sit and think about what Count Olaf wanted. Intelligently, Klaus goes to Count Olaf’s neighbor, Justice Strauss, and asks her to borrow a book from her huge library. Klaus borrowed a book called the Nuptial law. This book has the rules and procedures of marriage. Klaus discovers that Count Olaf plans to truly marry Violet during the show.
