Ill-Equipped Rescuers Formative Assessment The article “Ill-Equipped Rescuers Digs Out Volcano Victims; Aids Slow Reach to Colombian Town” written by Bradley Graham provides information on the eruption of a volcano taking place in Columbia. Moreover, the eruption caused a major outcry in the city Armero, Columbia leading to the deaths of thousands. Throughout the article Bradley Graham described his sightings throughout his journey from people dying one by one and how the city was completely devastated during this event.
Introduction Founded in 1984, the Ark Aid Street Mission is an organization who serves individuals who live on the margins of society. Known as a popular charity, The Ark is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency which is supported by a variety of people and associations such as churches and businesses. Staff, volunteers, and donors are all motivated by Christian faith, and express kindness, and love to individuals who need it most. The work and ministry of the Ark is dedicated to helping anyone who is need, regardless of colour, race, and ethnicity. The organization provides holistic services for the whole person, encouraging and helping individuals to discover or rediscover individual values.

Overall faith-based agencies are at times run in ways that are similar to the government agencies today but still have the option to use their church building to provide the services and express their current beliefs to those seeking those services (McMillin, 2011, pp. 488). For example, this quote is important because people need to read about or know about situations before they encounter them.
