Since P.K teachers have presented themselves as wise respected figures. Ideology that has been printed into students maintaining the hegemony and power dynamics between teachers and students among the globe. However, as an art college student we've come to realize that it's okay to sometimes resist this professor-student hegemony in order to be able to follow our own beliefs and expectations. We are able to express ourselves through our art, even though this sometimes might mean to show resistance towards a specific assignment by either going against it or approach it in an unexpected way.

With the author being unknown, but we see that the author uses clear examples on why the arts is being cut over another curriculum. Throughout this article the author tends to use more pathos than anything with personal experiences to invoke the reader to do something over the budget cuts.
Why should students be required to take an arts class? Arts is where students can show their artistic abilities or their musical talents to everyone else. Students should be required to take an arts class because those classes can open up more career opportunities, the students in the class work together in groups, and the student can show their ability to do different things that maybe someone else can’t do. The first reason as of why the class should be required is the class could open up more career opportunities in the future.

This is a major colossal issue and not only that, this affect the majority of the healthcare organizations. Lack of Creativity in Education Creativity and abstract thinking are seen as the basis of education, but more and more, these skills are being lost, and even discouraged, in the classroom. Fourteen-year-old Line Dalile, in her essay, “How Schools are Killing Creativity,” uses rhetorical strategies such as metaphors, ethos, and rhetorical questions to strengthen her claim on how schools are discouraging creativity in the classroom. Dalile uses a bold metaphor at the beginning of the article that strongly introduces her ideas on creativity in education. The metaphor is as follows,“.. it is destroying our fascinating, curious minds.”
This spawned an inevitable future. By drawing stories that had already been written I started to then make my own stories and characters. Drawing became part of my identity. Both in my family and at school I was identified as an “artsy kid.”
I am acutely aware of the how lucky I am to be able to virtually choose any profession and eternally grateful to the amount of supportive teachers and adults I’ve met that pick up where my parents’ knowledge falters. They have filled my environment with a constant emphasis on education and vivid art. Most of the teachers I’ve met during my academic career have been avid supporters of challenging myself by encouraging me to take rigorous courses, rooting for me and offering any type of help they can so that I can succeed. Art has been the underlying motivator throughout my life, serving to stimulate my mind differently from academic rigor and as an outlet of self expression in musical and visual forms. The works of Francisco Goya ranging to the entirety of Dada period art, a music taste spanning over a multitude of genres, clothing inspiration from i-D Magazine and thrifted DIYs.
High school students should be required to take at least one arts course each year. Taking an arts course helps students find another subject of interest and try new things. For example, before high school, there is a chance that a student has never taken an arts course before, so now the student has a chance to find another subject of interest in the arts, or simply try it out. As a result, students end up learning more about themselves, and students may even think about taking up one of the arts as a career or hobby. It all goes to show that students should be required to take at least one arts course each year, as students are able to find another subject of interest.

“Visual Literacy” The influence of the Counter-Reformation on the state of visual art in the early 16th century was dramatic. Much of the art of this period was used as an educational tool for Catholics who may not have been literate, but were devoted to the images and sculptures in their churches. Protestants, especially Martin Luther who translated Scripture into the common vernacular, were extremely adamant about the masses being literate especially in regards to Scripture. As a way to present the same education to the entire population, the Catholic Church emphasized education by visual literacy.

Why Have Arts in Schools? President Barack Obama once said, “The future belongs to young people with an education and the imagination to create.” In schools, one of the most overlooked and underfunded subjects are the arts. During the 1930s, art education was greatly supported in the U.S. However, as time progressed the focus of education shifted to more standardized tests, science, and math.
Modern day schooling forces students to fit a mold only a select few can fill by creating too much structure and having an overbearing emphasis on math and science, when other, less structured extracurricular activities can promote respect, discipline, and teamwork. Most would agree that, in early stages of life, art is a detrimental and necessary part of any child’s early development and education. In fact, Pre-K through third grade’s education curriculum is usually centered around promoting early creativity and a fondness for learning. Kids learn math by counting colorful pieces of bricks. They learn both science and the basic principles of functionality by playing with train sets and toy cars.
So, must of them must help you to encourage your creativity. And not only in specific areas, I personally don 't think schools are doing enough to encourage the students creativity. There are many more arts and subjects schools should use to encourage creativity. Including physical subjects, like PE. And those results should improve in our society.

Art is a way that people can express themselves and share their beliefs. Arts in education can help people focus and attend. Fine arts are important because they make a huge impact on kids education, they make an impact on how people pursue their life careers, and it also helps with stress and anxiety.
