Vladimir Lenin is the founder of the Soviet Republics and, when the party split, the leader of the Bolshevik Party. He played a large role in the history of the 20th century. He reshaped Russia and applied communist ideas to real life, which forever changed the face of the world.
Although he is well known around the world as Vladimir Lenin, which is a pseudonym, his birth name is Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov. Lenin was born in Simbirsk, Russia on April 9, 1870 to Ilya Ulyanov and Maria Aleksandrovna. He did very well in school, finished with honors, and went on to study law at Kazan University. He was later expelled for taking part in student protests.

Lenin had an amazing power over the people and had several followers and took advantage of that by implanting ridiculous ideas into their heads.
After a failed coup in July 1917 Lenin fled to Finland and, from there, he demanded an armed rebellion. He secretly returned in October and acheieved what he had planned to start with— the fall of the Provisional Government.
The Soviet Concil of People’s Comissionaries was formed and Lenin became leader. One of the first moves was to ban freedom of speech. When asked about it, he said: “Freedom of speech? We are not going to commit suicide!” Lenin also signed a peace treaty at the price of loss of territory nd payment of an indemnity.
Lenin eventually ruined Russia. He forced everone to work or they’d be executed. Onflation also skyrocketed. Wokers were only paid 26 rubles for a 14 hour work day.The average loaf of bread cost 170 rubles.
Lenin also starved the Volga region. Some even resorted to cannibalism. Riots were forged and crimes grew drastically. The death toll of this famine was approximently 5 million
