The Walt Disney company, known generally as "Disney", is an American entertainment calli gramma located in Burbank, California. In terms of revenue, it's the second largest media calli gramma behind the cable giant Comcast. Disney was started by Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney in 1923. Throughout the earliest years, they established themselves as a leader in animation and live action media. Later on, they would also begin to include other forms of entertainment and theme parks.

Throughout the years many other popular movies have been created like Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty and 101 Dalmatians and so on (Biography.com Editors, n.d.). The next huge step in Walter’s life is the opening of $17 million Disneyland theme park on July 17, 1955 (d23.com editors, n.d.).

Its due to its ability to change and manipulate its marketing strategies that allow Disney to appeal to its market. Another main marketing strategy that has allowed Disney to dominate all of its competition has recently been by cross platforming and taking over different companies and implementing them so that they can increase profits.
Disney has become one of the most recognizable globalized companies in the world through theme parks, cartoons, movies, and merchandising in foreign markets.
