Walter Elias Disney was an innovator and a go getter. He was a leader because he had many people that he influenced and motivated and he was and still is a legacy because he inspired loved ones and people worldwide to keep disney going.

Walt Disney was born December Fifth, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. Later, after Walt's birth, the Disney family moved to Marceline, Missouri. He moved to Kansas with his parents at age 7, and spent a majority of his life there. After they moved Walt had got into acting and performing. During the fall of 1918, he attempted to enlist for military service. He was rejected because he was under age. There he met a fellow animator, (Ub Iwerks). Later on they set up their own company. In 1920’s they made a series for the Newman theatre chain called “ Newmans Laugh-O- Grams”. They had soon went bankrupt. Disney moved to Hollywood in 1923. Instead of giving up, he packed his suitcase and headed for Hollywood to start a new business. He was not even twenty two when he left. He had created “Alice Comedies” (which was about a real girl and her adventures in an animated world) that were distributed by M.J Winkler(Margaret). He was backed up financially by Winkler and his older brother Roy O. Disney, who remained his business partner for the rest of his life. When they had arrived in hollywood they set up shop in their uncles garage. They soon expanded to the end of a real estate office. On July 13, 1925, Walt married one of his first employees, in Lewiston, Idaho. Her name was Lillian Bounds. They later had two daughters, Diane and Sharon .
