Clink, Clink, Clink! That is the sound of the money going into Andrew Carnegie's pocket. Who was Andrew Carnegie? Well Andrew was a wealthy business executive. He ran the biggest steel business in the 19s. That made him one of the richest men. But what did he do with all the money he was making? The real question is, was Carnegie a hero? A hero is someone who does outstanding achievements. There were three reasons Andrew Carnegie was a hero he always gave back, he didn't just leave his money with his family, and brought beauty to a castle in Scotland. My first argument was that Carnegie was a hero because he donated a lot of money to charities. This does not always make you a hero though. However one piece of evidence that supports this reason is in document B. As in document B, Carnegie wants to spend his surplus on a good clause. A surplus is left over money after something like a job has been done. In document B we also see he said that the richest don't spend their money on a good clause. This is him saying that the richest have the most money but never use it for the good. A second piece of supporting evidence is in document C. But inside of leaving his money with his family, He would leave it to better uses. I believe in not leaving all of his money with his family because they didn't work for it and other people need it. A second piece of supporting evidence is in document B as well. He didn't leave his money with his family. He inside gave it to better use. He also did this because he said that rich people don't do that good in this world. This evidence helps explain why Carnegie was a hero because he didn't leave his money with his family, but inside for better
