Louis XVIII Louis Stanislas Xavier also known as Louis XVIII was the King of France from the year 1815 to the year 1824. He was known as the Desired (le Désiré) and was a monarch of the House of Bourbon. During his time as King he made many decisions involving France’s wellbeing. Some were good and others not so much. But both left imprints into Frances future and made the country what it is now. Many changes and incidents occurred to the french people and many I feel were successes due to the outcome of France after his death in 1824 as he suffered from Obesity, gout and gangrene in his legs and spine. The 100 days was a huge setback for Louis as it exposed his cowardice, his lack of leadership, his dependance on the Allies and the fragility of his rule and for a King these were very bad traits to have and could lead to the people of France no longer supporting him or following his orders as a weak King was a sign of a weak Country.
