Waterpaw awoke blinking slowly, she yawned and stretched before padding to the broken cliff in the den that kept Pebble hostage in her bedding. Pebblepaw looked up to see her sister leave and frowned. Sitting up, she at the entrance as snow began piling up. She flattened her ears and looked around the dim den seeing the fuzzy outlines of the other apprentices. “Smokepa-” She stopped as she remembered that Smokepaw had moved out of the den. Growling in frustration she dragged herself to the entrance pawing at the snow making it scatter amongst the beds leaving cats buried in it. “Hey watch it furball!” an apprentice in the back of the den hissed shaking his fur. “Sorry..” She hissed and began climbing the small part of the cliff to make it outside. “Do you have to be so happy all the time?” Pebblepaw hissed turning away staring back into the medicine den. “Maybe I should just go live with Redfur instead of being out and about, it’s not like I’m any help to the clan anyways..” Waterpaw just rolled her eyes and looked away to see Sootfur bounding across the ice with Smokefeather skidding along behind him. “Hey guys, what are you up to?” He asked with a smile spreading from ear to ear on his muzzle.
