Many people know that World War II was one of the most ghastly wars on this planet. The war lasted six years and one day, and caused enumerable casualties. Japan’s bombing of Pearl Harbor brought the U.S into WWII. Armies used many types of machinery while fighting this war. A few planes that were used during WWII included fighter planes, bomber planes, and transport planes. Also, a few cars that were used during WWII were jeeps, artillery tractors, and unmanned demolition vehicles. Under his reign, Hitler commanded that Jews be exiled to the ghetto and many were forced to live with strangers. During this war, many Jewish citizens were sent to concentration camps such as Auschwitz-Birkenau, Bergen-Belsen, and Gross-Rosen where people were forced to work, were burned, tortured, and gassed. Some of the gases used were Mustard gas, Chlorine, and Carbonyl Chloride. The physicians at the concentration camps were the ones who decided who was gassed and who was not.
