2 just two months after 9//11, felt overwhelmed when he joined the team. Even working in this job for 4months now, he just started getting to know job. All the guys at the job seems to be experts on the job and he is having hard time undertaking that tasks. After 9/11 tragedy, the fire department had a hard time replacing the great men they had lost. Nonetheless, it was a much harder to task to replace those men and their many years of valuable experience on the job.
Wes Moore author had many important role models in his life that would eventually enable him to live up to his potential. Uncle Howard filled the hole that was left when Moore’s father died and when“[he] was eleven… and having difficulty in and out of the classroom [he could lean] on Uncle Howard’s shoulder”. Uncle Howard was the man who convinced Moore that he could achieve more than just basketball at school, that education would allow him to reach his full potential. The persuasion to drop basketball as a career, enabled Moore to focus on becoming a high ranking individual at Valley Forge Military Academy and, eventually, a Rhodes Scholar. I have had the pleasure of knowing Taylor Faherty as a student in Advanced Placement United States History during the 2016-2017 school year. Before Taylor was a student in my class, another teacher told me that I would really like her and while Taylor is a student that all teachers long to have in their class, her biggest strengths include a strong work ethic, ability to successfully organize her time and her strong leadership ability Taylor has been an ideal student and is very intelligent but her consistent work ethic is what stands out even more. I am writing this letter in reference to Raven Mincey, who I have known for 5 or more years. Raven is highly motivated person. Her personality and enthusiasm to do is proven by the quality of work she demonstrates within her church and community. She has always been passionate about teaching, helping others, and children. Raven is a hard worker, motivator, self -starter, and very organized.
Leaders possess different strengths that allow them to succeed in their career or life. The Clifton Strengths Finder Assessment helped identify my top strengths and how to lead with my strengths in order to further develop them. My top five strengths were competition, positivity, winning others over (WOO), harmony, and achiever. Based on the meaning of each strength, I related to all them, however, I was surprised by some of them.
During slavery, it was rare to find a black man who succeeded towards learning and being a risk-taker. To begin with, part of the title is a strong word. Ingrate is a person who is not grateful; not appreciative. The story focus on three main people, but only one stood out. Joshua Leckler, a hardworking man, who doesn’t give up on landing his freedom.
The main character in The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, William Kamkwamba is a very dynamic character. Throughout the story not only does his personality change, but also his views and beliefs. Even though, William went through some dramatic changes there were three main character traits that he held onto throughout the story. These traits are his most prominent, and important aspects of his personality. William remained inquisitive, compassionate, and astute throughout the entire book.
This is the type of man that we need. Stubborn as a mule, determined to become the best. To lead us all to a brighter future. A man that was a dear friend of mine. This was a man that we could trust.
Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.
