When something eventful happens the human memory keeps the details and the events stored in your memory. So when your involved in something as serious as murder happens you will be able to recount your steps and remember what happened that day. So if your stories keep changing you're casting a shadow of doubt upon yourself. Jay a somewhat friend of Adnan was called down to the police station for questions connected to Hae Lee disappearance. Throughout the interviews, Jay's story kept changing and a couple of inconsistencies popped up. Therefore, the inconsistencies in Jay Wild’s story is sufficient evidence to accuse him of murdering Hae Lee. In the first taped interview jay says” Adnan only told him that same day that he was going to kill Hae. 2 weeks later, Jay says Adnan had started talking about it beforehand- four to five days before.” Then “ By the time jay testifies at trial, he goes back to the first version again- that he knew nothing until the day of and that he didn't really take it seriously.” This discredits jay and makes him look like a liar. Jay told the police one story but then in court, he does a 180 and tells a different story. Jay was trying to make it seem that he was kept in the dark until the day of the murder. This connects jay to the murder because If he knew about it days before that means he helped plan and execute the murder which makes it a premeditated murder. Furthermore, In a different interview, Jay talks about where he picked Adnan up and where he says Hae’s body. Jay calms “ I went to pick him up from off of Edmondson Ave at the strip and he, uh, popped the trunk open”, then Jay recalls a conversation with Adnan were Adnan declares “Um, that bitch is dead come and get me, I’m at best buy.” This is biggest inconsistencies to the cops.
