He made the recording for the American people to show what he did as a president and what he accomplished during his time in the white house. In the recording, Trump talks about the accomplishments he did during his time in the white house and he says what a great president he was and how he made America a great nation to be a part of. In the recording TRump effectively uses rhetorical devices, specifically Imagery, Appeal to Patriotism, and Hyperbole to make his audience understand his point of view. In Trump's farewell speech in the quote, he talks about how he fought for this country to make it a better place to be and to make it a stronger place and to show what he did during his time in office. The quote Trump discusses is, “I fought for you. I fought for your family. I fought for our country. Above all, I fought for America and all it stands for, and that is safe, strong, proud, and free.” This quote Trump says is anaphora because he repeats on saying how he fought for this country to make it a better place. He talks about this part because he is repeating how he fought to make America stronger, safe, proud, and a free country. He keeps repeating how he fought and this impacts this part of the farewell speech and shows how powerful this moment is he does this to impact to focus on what he did over the years he was in the white house. In another place in Trump's farewell speech, he talks about how he helped people speak out to make everyone equal to each other he talks about this in this quote and he tries to remind us that everyone has a voice and they should all be heard to hear what they have to say. The quote Trump discusses is, “We fought for the principle that every citizen is entitled to equal dignity, equal treatment, and equal rights because we are all made equal by God.” In this quote, Trump is repeating the word “equal” to show and to make this statement powerful and easy to remember this important part of his speech is to show that people can say what they want to say and they are all equal. And he says that the government has to listen to the people and the people get to say what they want to say.
