Humanity has been always looking for equanimity, freedom and fraternity. Often the path to reach these rights is not easy. In the past, there were many people around the world fighting in different revolutions or social movements. Nowadays we can enjoy all these privileges. One of the first, and more important movements was the French Revolution. The main causes of its were Feudalism in classes, monarchy and economy. The first consequence of the French Revolution was Feudalism in classes. Its was based by a class system in where the ownership of the land was inequality. The class system in France was divided into three classes. The first state belonged to the clergy, who were the highest members of the church and privileged. Next class were the nobles, and finally the third state was conformed by the rest of the population or unprivileged. The French monarchy was ruled by divine right. In other words it meant that the power of the king was given by God and no one could question god or someone put in power by God. At the end of the 1700’s France was lead by King Louis XVI and the Queen Marie Antoinette. King Louis XVI was reckless because he liked to spend money on himself and residences liked Versailles. Also the queen, Marie Antoinette, was an irresponsible buyer. Because of this, France acquired debts from fighting in wars, including the funding of the American Revolution. During this time King Louis XVI attempted to collect taxes to the clergy and nobles, but they refused to begin taxing. So, the only state that held the debt was the population. But they were upset that they paid taxes while nobles did not. Certainly the third state could not afford to have their taxes raised because they already gave almost all their money to the
