What Does Freedom Mean To Me

What does freedom mean to me? According to the encyclopedia freedom is a synonym for liberty . Our country's freedom is based on our Constitution and Bill of Rights which were put in place on March 4 ,1789. The Bill of Rights guarantee many freedoms such as the right to bear arms. I believe freedom is not being controlled , going where you want , and living your life how you want.

Not being controlled is doing what you want. It is not being told what to do. It is hard to not be controlled if you are in jail . The police are telling you what to do ; you are not choosing what you want to do. Rosa Parks stated, '' I would like to be remembered as a person who wanted to be free …........ so other people who also wanted to be free could be inspired .'' If I want to do something I can not do that because, my parents would not let me.

If you are living with your parents, they might not let you go where you want to . As a child you can not go where you want to go. If you live alone you have more freedom . One example is going where you want and doing what you want . If you have no one to tell you what to do you can do anything you want to do . You can go all the way around the world with out any one telling you what to do. Encyclopedia, '' Liberty if often said to consist in doing what one desires. It would be more accurate to say that an actor feels more free to the extent that he does what he wants.
