I think America’s greatest gift to my generation is the freedom that allows each individual to reach their full potential. After much dedication, commitment, and perseverance, past generations have made being the best you can be possible. Freedom is the power to act, speak, or think the way you want to without restraint. Being free is important because it leads to creativity, originality, and an overall high quality in life. People who live in freedom tend to ignore it and take it for granted. However, In order to be the best version of yourself, you need to be able to make choices. In North Korea, you will never find any independent journalists because the leaders manipulate and stifle the news before releasing it to the public. The government also restricts internet access and what you are allowed to look at online. The media is always ‘positive’, not true. Limiting the amount of information you can obtain is not enabling you to make the choices you need to be you. How can you be your true self when so many things are stopping you? …show more content…

I know that everyday we are all working to provide the best ground for our further generations to step on. I am happy to say that America’s greatest gift to my generation today is the freedom that allows each American to reach their best
