God Is Not A God Of Confusion
Jehovah is a God of order and system; so, He goes about saving people systematically. When humanity transgressed God’s law, they sinned and sin separates a person from God. (Isaiah 59:1-2) However, the mercy of God intervened (Ephesians 2:4-9), and the grace of God appeared bringing salvation to all men (Titus 2:11); yet, “God is not the author of confusion;” therefore, His plan is not confusing in the sense that He saves people in different ways.
Christ came into the world, lived among men and taught His plan of salvation to the apostles; He died on the cross and was buried. On the third day, He arose inaugurating the New Covenant [His teaching; the gospel] and then He returned to heaven.

“But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.” (John 14:26). And that is what happened. The apostles and other Holy Spirit inspired men, acting by the directions of Jesus and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, went forth preaching the gospel convicting the world of sin, of righteousness, and of the judgment.

(Acts 8:37) Ananias told Paul to be baptized to wash away his sins. This is God’s plan as revealed by inspiration and it is the same plan that is now written in the New Testament. God provided only one plan for the redemption of humanity and since all that we do is to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus; that is, by His authority we must follow the New Testament
