What gaps are there to be bridged between public and private security, and how are they being bridged?
When it come to public and private security, there are many gaps which offenders take advantage off. Most private security do not have the proper law enforcement training that is require to handle certain criminal activities. By them not having require training creates a lot of mistakes that is made by them. Private security unarmed officers are getting kill because offenders think that they are police officer and are armed.

Sometimes departments or business entities have internal conflicts within their organizations and do not have time to address the needs of the program.
• Founders or Coordinators retire. This poses as a problem because others may not have the skills, knowledge or contacts to keep the program running.
• Egos and personalities interfere with the mission of the program. As noted in the history section, police typically hold security to a different standard and may try to be dictators of the program. Joint leadership between entities is one method of minimizing egotism in the program.
• Funding is insufficient or inadequate. In order to be successful, funding is equally important as maintaining the program. Thus, for the program to establish credibility there must be a consistent source of funding. Funding may be obtained through various means and may be aided by proper marketing strategies and techniques.
• Meetings fail to supply interest to the participants in attendance. This can be avoided by conducting training sessions related to current issues and bringing in guest speakers or experts on various topics of
