Everyone has somebody that helps pass the time on the walks down from class to class, shares the school gossip, or calls as soon as something good or bad happens. Friends are very common, but a true friend is scarce. It is easy to be somebody’s friend when all that needs to be done is to have a casual conversation or loan him or her a pencil, but it is not as easy for someone to drop whatever it is they are doing to go help a friend that is thirty minutes away and needs to be jumped off. A true friend is someone who is always there for a friend no matter what the circumstances are and does not look for anything in return. A true friend can be best described as someone who is always willing to help their friend and will even sacrifice their own things to help out. A true friend is someone who can always be counted on.
