Alexander the Great Alexander the Great built his empire by using his Plan to Unite His Empire and by spreading Greek ideas. Alexander's Plan caused him to have a very big empire. In section 3 it says “Over a short time, Alexander extended his rule over Asia Minor, Egypt, and Central Asia. … He brought much of the known world at that time under his power.” Alexander had a lot of land that he ruled over in a short time which could mostly happen because of a really good plan and strategy. The first part of his plan was spreading Greek ideas. The second part of Alexander's plan was to use religion. In section 5 it says “First, he honored Egyptian and Persian gods, with the same respect he paid to those of Greek heritage. … Second, Alexander promoted the idea that he himself was a god. … Seeing Alexander in the crown encouraged the Egyptians to accept him as a god.” Alexander used religion by first honoring Egyptian and Persian gods and so he was able to promote the idea of him being god and then seeing Alexander in the crown that an Egyptian god wears the Egyptians accepted him as a god. This part of the plan was giving Alexander control of more places. The third and final part of Alexander’s plan was adopting the ways of the conquered cultures. In section 6 it says “in Persia, he adopted their original system of government. … Alexander also borrowed Persian customs. … Finally, Alexander encouraged marriage between the people of Macedonia and Persia.” This shows that Alexander adopted the ways of Persia and encouraged marriage between the people of Macedonia and Persia so he could be able to rule Persia and he was kind of slowly taking over Persia.
