Vietnam Fact Sheet Harry S. Truman, president from 1949 to 1953, helped the French in 1946 by sending them 160 million dollars. The Vietnamese ended up defeating the French at Dien Bien Phu, thus causing the Geneva Accord to divide north and south Vietnam at the 17th parallel. This division created a North Vietnam with a communist government, and a South Vietnam with a somewhat democratic government. In the 1950s, when Dwight D. Eisenhower was president, there was an idea or belief that stated that if one land in a region came under the influence of communism, then surrounding countries would follow and do the same.
In 1912, motorized cameras were invented. Also in 1912, the tank was patented. Charles Franklin Kettering invented the first automobile electrical ignition system in 1911. Arthur Wynne invented crosswords in 1913.
There are similarities between Chris McCandless and Henry David Thoreau, but there is also many differences. Chris and David’s thoughts on the following ideas are just some of the many similarities they have: transcendentalism, materialism, individualism, and nature. One difference between McCandless and Thoreau is that Thoreau studied and enjoyed technology, while McCandless did not. The two characters may have extensive similarities, but their differences characterize their personalities.
These inventions were created to make the work around farms easier and faster. For example, in 1764, James Hargreaves invented the spinning jenny. This machine was invented as an easier and a faster way to make cloth. The spinning jenny spins more than one ball of thread at a time. In the 1830’s, Samuel Moore invented the telegraph.

Shawn Achor, psychological researcher, speaker, author and CEO of GoodThinkInc., an American organization which offers services and seminars to promote improved work performance through positive psychology. Achor argues in his February, 2011 presentation at a TEDx event in Bloomington, Indiana, that changing the formula of success and choosing to live in a world where happiness inspires productivity can be achieved by retraining your brain to be more positive over the course of 21-days. The content of Achor’s speech claimed that we are wired to believe happiness comes only after we have achieved success in the form of thoughts like "I'll be happy when I finish school", or "I'll be happy when I find a job." He states the formula we are all
My interests in technology did not come until later in my life; when I attended my first engineering and technology workshop. Back in the summer of 2012 I was accepted into the Rowan University’s Boys Engineering, Science, and Technology (BEST) Program. Throughout the event I was in awe and fascinated by what engineering had to offer. We built bottle rockets and constructed penny bridges, but what stood out to me the most was the hands on experience with computer programming.
(Positive and Negative effects) The Manhattan Project is known to have had several positive effects. One of which came after the end of World War II when the AEC (Atomic Energy Commission) was created by congress to control Atomic energy development for peaceful reasons. They declared that Atomic energy should not only be used for security reasons, but for promotion of world peace and improving public welfare. Both of these foundations were urged to be formed after the world saw the devastation caused by the Atom Bomb.
The Manhattan Project was constructed during World War II by the United States to develop the first nuclear weapon/atomic bomb (The Manhattan Project” 2015).
this shows that most of the common day materials and electronics can be traced back to the time when Thomas Edison was inventing when he was just 16. Edison invented the automatic reaper. This allowed for people to

The human race has got to see some of the top best inventions during the 20th century, for example- the radio, the airplane, nuclear power, automobile, and the one that has by far made human life easy and efficient is the computer. The invention of the computer has led to some of the most significant concepts, ideas, and inventions that eventually led to the evolution of human life. And the major ones are, the internet, long distance communication, easy and safe research and much more! The computer was invented by Charles Babbage, an English mechanical engineer, and polymath who is also titled as the “father of computers”.
The origins and roots of computers started out as many other inventions and technologies have in the past. They evolved from a relatively simple idea or plan designed to help perform functions easier and quicker. According to Gary Masters “the first basic type of computers were designed to do just that to compute”. They
