In Exodus, there is a striking moment, God attacking Moses without any clear reasons explained in 4.24-26. As an important servant of God, why did God try to kill him at the moment.Why did God have to take away the life of Moses on the outside, where was not an appropriate for the operation of the ritual ceremony? Why did God let Moses go, after the circumcision of his son? What did Moses do and what did he think, when Zipporah was performing their son’s circumcision? What kinds of reasons motivated Zipporah to do the circumcision in front of Moses and God at that moment? The three short sentences in Exodus raised a series of issues to the readers. All of the Israelites males had to be circumcised under the commandments of God (see in Genesis 17.5-11).
