Public health refers to all the formulated methods to preclude diseases, nurture health and perpetuate life amongst the community as whole.
World health organization (WHO) is a world’s largest health organization whose main objective is to keep the world population healthy and blooming (Crockett et al., 2003). This organization makes people aware about the need of healthy life in rural areas as well as the areas which are most prone to epidemics.

One must keep their environment clean. If we have to improve the public health then public awareness is a primary requirement. There are a number of ways in which we can spread awareness and educate the public how to protect the environment. Campaigns must be organized to make people aware, some of the examples for the awareness campaigns are: (a) Clean your neighbourhood (b) Vaccination and control of the diseases (c) Regular check-ups (d) Eating safer and healthier foods (e) Safe drinking water (f) Healthier mothers and babies and access to family planning (g) Recognition of tobacco and cigarette smoking as a threat to …show more content…

Of particular relevance is the need to assess whether products, processes, situations and activities could increase the risk of significant health consequences for human populations. The department of health in Western Australia has endorsed the use of health risk assessments of potential impacts to health during the planning stages of new developments and to evaluate activities where potential risks to health are being considered (Henrici, 2005). The processes outlined in this document provide a more specific characterization of potential risks to the public than currently available and being developed to assist proponents and others required to undertake formal impact assessments for new developments. These processes may also be useful for other forms of assessments where risks to the public are being considered.
