Ellie Wiesel's novel Night and Jeannette Walls’ The Glass Castle both have similar connections because of Jeannette Walls’ protagonist and Ellie Wiesels’ protagonist’s turbulent relations with their fathers. Due to the extent of relationships covered in both novels, they are comparable. Ellie and his dad are in a concentration camp in the book Night. Ellie and his father look out for one another while they are in the camp and develop a close bond. Despite being close, there are a few occasions throughout the book where it seems they do not know one another. There is a comparable interaction in The Glass Castle.
