There were two major dynasties in Ancient China, Qin and the Han. The Qin ruled first and created many policies that were adopted and abandoned by the Han dynasty. In the Qin dynasty, Shi Huangdi made a policy called standardization. Standardization is to set rules to make things more similar. For Example the Qin dynasty standardized currency. The standardized currency so merchants and all the people of China could buy and sell things a lot easier. The Han dynasty adopted this policy because it made Chinese life a lot easier. This is one of the policies that the Han adopted. Another policy that Shi Huangdi enacted in the Qin dynasty, was centralization.
