For me it was hard to understand the language and the writing and in there you have to learn the language. When I was a kid my parents taught me the language and writing. But we did not read any books at all and it was not good for me. And it was fun to learn my language but I’m forgetting the language.
I didn’t learn to read or write until I was 7 years old. I was in my second grade class and my peers and I were sitting in a circle when the teacher called on me to read. I sputtered some gibberish with a tomato red face. The only words I recognized were “it’s” “it,” and “a”- which is really just a letter.

Learning to read and write was a great experience for me especially since I learned to read and write in Spanish before learning to read and write in English. I was taught to read and write in Spanish from kindergarten to the third grade, and then I was introduced to English in the fourth grade. In the fourth grade I was placed in a bilingual class that introduced me to reading and writing in English. It was not too difficult learning the basics since I already knew how to speak English. This did not change the fact that I had a few struggles along the way.

My Journey to Literacy As kids we are taught literacy without knowing it. Our parents or teachers have sat down with us and helped us write out our letters, sound out words, and form sentences. We were all given crayons at restaurants and a piece of paper that had fun games, cartoons, and tic tac toe. There are few people who have not learned to read and write, or have learned in a different way or at an older age.
Have you ever thought about the important role grammar plays in your professional career? In my professional career as a registered nurse grammar is very important. I believe grammar is important in every professional career because if you do not communicate professionally then people will never understand what you are trying to say.
By me reading books I can have a better vocabulary, and improve on reading and writing skills. When I read a book, I can look at how the author describes things and learn off that. This is why I think that reading could help me improve my writing skills. In 8th grade, the teachers expect you to be more mature and pay attention in class.

Learning a second language at a younger age is beneficial Most little kids first day of school is when they are approximately five years old, and about to enter kindergarten. Kids go to school from about age five till graduation from high school at about age eighteen. Most schools focus on the basic core subjects, such as math, reading, science and history. Until junior high or high school, foreign language is not even offered.

Just as it is mentioned in this quote, foreign language is important; therefore, people should learn a foreign language at an early age. When learning a foreign language at an early age, it helps people to concentrate and increase comprehension skills. Also, at a young age, the mind is fresh, so the person can take in more information and can easily master a foreign language. In addition, most secondary schools, universities, and jobs require a foreign language to be known.
