In the Odyssey books 1-4, the organizational structure impacts the theme, tone, and meaning of the work as a whole. The themes that were shown through books 1-4 were to always be there for your family. For example, Penelope and Telemachus both care for Odysseus and they are really wanting him to find his way back home. Telemachus wants to find his father so badly that goes on a long journey to find him. This shows that Telemachus really wants his father back and he will do anything to have his father back even if he has to take a long journey.
