a) Upon the analysis of the Manor House Country Club Hotel (MHCCH), as the marketing consultant, I have identified some of the main challenges in the macro and micro environment as well as some of the key concerns in a SWOT analysis which may be taken into consideration upon the choice of strategic marketing options to be carried out.
The MHCCH has been and will continue to be affected by the elements of macroeconomic development. A PESTLE analysis is used to identify some of these challenges;

Political: Singapore has recently had a new bureaucratic announcement on new licensing laws and bans on public smoking. This affects the restaurants’ bar for serving alcoholic beverages for those under the age limit and receiving a fine for doing so. As for the bans on public smoking, the hotel has to now build a smoking room for the guests who smoke. The Singapore government is planning to increase the spending on tourism to Singapore which would be beneficial to the MHCCH in getting more customers.
Economic: Singapore is one of the major trading parts of the word as it is the center of South East Asia which makes business very favorable. This would bring opportunity to attract corporate guests for the MHCCH.
Social: The current trends are eating out and sit-down meals are more demanded. People have adapted to new styles of food from different part of the world and healthier food is also in trend. This can encourage the business to make further ventures.
