Looking for Alaska is a book that is probably one of your most serious and thoughtful book which is to say a lot, because all of your books are to some extent, serious and thoughtful. Looking for Alaska is a book that can’t be spoiled unlike some others by different authors, which are so predictable. But I believe this is for the Ultimate Good because this is a Wonderful Book! I love how this book deals with the meaning of life, with last words and first loves; all from the point of view of Miles Halter. However, I have found myself just overwhelmed with all of the feeling, thoughts, burdens, beliefs from these characters in the book. This book is one that literally draws you into the pages, and you suddenly find that you, yourself, are in the story. I was incredibly anxious throughout the story. As the chapters counted down I just get more and more nervous and anxious and worried. “136 days before”, “89 days before”, “52 days before”, “3 days before”.
