This is the plot of the amazing story of The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien, where Bilbo Baggins uncovers more about himself than he imagined. The book and movie version of the story are both strong in their own way. In my opinion, the book does a better job developing relationships between characters whereas the movie has more interesting subplots.
