Nobody can disagree with the fact that George Orwell's vision in his book 1984 didn't come true, though many people were very worried that Orwell’s vision might actually take place. The year 1984 came and went and life still went on as usual. Many people wondered what was happening in Orwell’s life that made him write this interesting politically motivated book. A totalitarian world where one person rules and declares what is a crime and what is not, is something that people would have been scared about and was afraid that someone like Hitler might rise again and do the things that were happening in this book. Big brother is trying to limit the population and make sure the people that are going to reproduce are loyal to the government so that their children will also be loyal to big brother. The Germans also did a thing that was like this during the early stages of World War II. The Nazi regime made these new sterilization laws that forced some people that the Nazi party didn’t want to reproduce. “Sweden and Switzerland, among others, could face compensation claims for millions of dollars over the Nazi-style campaigns that led to the sterilization of thousands of women from the 1930’s to the 1970’s. According to revelations in a Swedish newspaper, nearly 60,000 people, mostly women, were sterilized in that country over a 40-year period to prevent the birth of non-Aryan children” (Maclean’s 42). This quote shows that the Nazi party did some very inhumane things to women because they were non Aryan. These people did nothing wrong other that they could not produce any Aryan children. He makes the people love him and makes the situations in the community need him and act like he is their savior and their ultimate leader. This also sounds like a man by the name of Adolf Hitler. Hitler was the dictator of Nazi Germany during World War II and Hitler during his running for the election was the man that Germany needed he seemed like he had good intentions and had a plan for Germany. Hitler was a German military man who served for the German army in the First World War. He received the Iron cross twice which is the highest military honor in the German army. At the end of the First World War Hitler was infuriated about the German surrender and thought that the Jewish politicians were the ones responsible for the surrender. After World War I Hitler became an undercover agent for the army and whose job was to find out who was a communist and Jewish for the government. After this he began giving lectures about communists and Jews and said how they were so bad, this only was the beginning of his hate for these people.
