What Was The Impact Of Technology On George Orwell's 1984

George Orwell wrote the novel, 1984, in 1950 and was able to anticipate the impact technology would have on society. Technology is used in 1984 to eliminate privacy all together. There are telescreens that can see almost all parts of your house as well as wherever you went. The lack of privacy and the constant surveillance brought fear upon the people. The main character, Winston, has neighbors with kids that would terrorize their parents. While around them, he also comments on how most kids are like this now.
