The humanity article that was provided was titled "What Was the War's Best Decision?” The article is about the strategic decisions that impacted the course of World War II. This research article made me feel interested in knowing past history. I believe by knowing past history can set an example for future generations. However, according to this article, author Laurence Rees decided to challenge the best historians of the war. As Rees says in his article "Is it possible to select one wartime as the best call of the conflict? The answers do not merely surprise, but reveal a great deal about how scholars regard this passage in our collective past" (Rees, 2015). Also, people sometimes forget that most successful historians set an example that is sometimes important to hear. We should always think about considering knowing past history. I think that this article makes good points and facts about history. The article is mainly about past history and shaping the way others think. Also, set a possible example for others. The article does so by informing the audience that there is a lot to learn about history and the many facts about it. It also persuades the audience that they should believe that knowing more facts could help in the future. By expressing facts such as "During World War II, a conflict that affected virtually every person on the planet and had such impact that we are still living with the consequences, key figures made countless crucial decisions. These decisions altered the fate of millions and changed the course of global events" (Rees, 2015). By saying this it informs the audience that we should ask more questions and facts about the previous history. That it should continue to ask questions and to research more
