On September 17, 1787 the Constitution was written. This event is also known as the Constitutional Convention. The Anti-Federalists and the Federalists, had different views on the Constitution, the Federalists had wanted the Constitution to be ratified with limited power of the government. Where as the Anti-Federalists had not wanted the Constitution to be ratified and wanted a compromise for this problem. For this conflict to have a compromise this is where the Bill of Rights came in. The anti federalist wanted the individual rights or known as bill of rights to be added. So both anti federalists and federalists had bothe gotten what each party had wanted. The federalists had asked the anti federalists to vote for the constitution for it to be ratified and then the federalists would have the Bill of rights added to the constitution.At one point the anti federalists had gotten worried that the federalist would not add the bill of rights to the constitution.Both political parties had agreed on this, which came to this idea of a compromise for each side of the debate.
