Introduction Tesla Motors is the company that took the automotive industry by storm with a very unique and new concept. To create luxury vehicles that are not gasoline powered but in fact electric powered vehicles. If you don’t believe me telling you that they have and will continue to revolutionize the global automotive industry, let the numbers and consumers speak for themselves. “The company’s stock price had climbed from $34 million in January 2013 to over $250 million in March 2014. Forbes also ranked their Model S vehicle the best-selling car in 8 of the 25 wealthiest zip-codes in the United States” (Thompson, 2014). So why did this immense increase occur all of a sudden and where on earth did Tesla come from? Simply facts such as …show more content…

Je as named the company’s CEO, Chairman and President in November 2007 and it as the best decision management has made to this date. He was able to convince the government to loan the company hundreds of millions for the start up of their second vehicle as well as convince investors to pay for a mass production factory to be built for Tesla in California. Immediately production of what Musk called the Model S began. It was a very sporty luxurious car with a powerful lithium battery. The company managed to profit positively in the years to come until in 2012 the break Model S as perfected and released on to the market. It just so happens to be three years later one of the most popular cars sold globally. Tesla is now out of debt with investor and the government completely and is worth somewhere around $8 …show more content…

Any further development in production of battery safety and advancements can only improve the company as a whole down the stretch. If Tesla takes strides to improve the technology they already pose then they will always be relevant. The first step would be to improve the safety of the batteries in order to reduce fires while charging or post accidents. The second step would be to develop a more powerful battery for their SUV model to be released as well as the future models.
