An unknown author once said, “All the hard work, all the sacrifices, all the sleepless nights, struggles, downfalls, it all pays off.” When the author said this quote, they meant that if you have a goal in life and you are trying to catch your dream. Your hardwork will pay off if you work for it. Never give up even if you are struggling it will pay off. In the book Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls, he shows that Billy is very hardworking. Billy’s lack of giving up helps him stay determined. Wilson Rawls shows that Billy is very hardworking in chapters 1-6. Billy was so hardworking to get his dogs in these chapters. For Example it took Billy two years in order to get his dogs. He had to raise/earn $50 (which is $500 today). One day Billy was in the woods and found scarps of a fisherman that he had left behind. Billy most importantly found a sports magazine. In the magazine he found a coupon to get his dogs. Billy traveled a long way barefoot to go and get his dogs once he got the money. This can prove that Billy is super hardworking. In chapters 7-11 of the book Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls Billy shows hard work wen he is hunting with Little Ann and Old Dan. One time when they were hunting in the woods Little Anne accidently fell in the freezing cold water. When this dramatic event happened Billy did not know what to do. Billy wanted help but he knew it would be too late when someone got their. He was so nervous and did not know what to do.
