The Evil that Follows During World War II, millions of lives were claimed by the Holocaust; over six million Jews were killed by the Nazis because of Hitler 's hatred towards the Jews. One family, The Franks, were affected by this unnecessary hatred. The Franks were a total of four people, Otto Frank, Edith Frank, Margot Frank, and Anne Frank. The Franks lived a normal life in Germany but decided to move as Jews were given less and less freedom because of Hitler 's laws to oppress the Jews. Even when the Frank Family left Germany to the Netherlands the Nazis invaded there and they were in the same situation once again.
Amsterdam in World War II was horrible for jews,because during February 22,1941 jews were getting arrested by the Germans,but all together they deported the seven hundred jews to Buchenwald concentration camp. And then some of the jews were deported from Buchenwald to Mauthausen camp and by then most of those jews were killed their. Anne Frank was a German jewish tennager who was forced to go to hiding during the Holocaust. She was born June 12,1920, Anne and her family, along with four others spent over two years during World War II, hiding in an annex full of rooms above her father’s office in Amsterdam. Anne Frank later on in life died in March 12,1945 in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany.
In the year 1933, the persecution of Jews and their families due to the holocaust had begun. Hitler had come to power, and made Nazi Germany believe the Jews were the problem. The Jewish families were forced into hiding or else they would be taken away to concentration camps or killed. One of the families in 1945, being persecuted were the Franks. Anne Frank was 13 when they moved into the hidden annex above Mr. Kralers office building.

This was because it was no longer safe in Germany for her Jewish family, the Netherlands was a safer place for the Jews. Anne Frank went into hiding in July of 1942 to escape the Nazis who were lead by Adolf Hitler. Anne Frank and her family were concealed in a secret annex for two years with only one other family, the Daans. Life for Anne Frank before she went into hiding she lived a normal oblivious life, she had friends, and was liked by boys. The day her mother got a letter to report to a work camp, her life changed completely. I don’t think it is very easy to compare our lives with someone like Anne Franks.
While many victims of the Nazis were targeted for their ethnicity or religious beliefs, plenty were persecuted only for political opinions. Non-Jewish German victims in the Holocaust were some of the first to be taken to Nazi camps, often sentenced as communists or political prisoners. Many people persecuted in Nazi Germany were targeted for their political beliefs. Nazis wanted all communists to conform to their new way of thinking and accept this way of life. Straying from this new way was an act of communism, meaning an outrageous amount of things could result in arrest.

It was on her 13th birthday that she got a diary. In her diary, she wrote about her friendships, crushes and her academic performance at school. Anne had an older sister named Margot, and they attended a Jewish school in Amsterdam. In this diary, the Franks moved to Netherlands from Germany because they feared prosecution. After the Germans invaded the Netherlands in 1940, the Franks, another family called the van Daans and Mr Russell hid in a small secret annex above Otto Frank’s, Anne’s father’s office.
