Booker T. Washington Booker T. Washington was born on April 5, 1856. He was an author, educator and even an advisor to the President of the United States of America. From 1890 through 1915 Washington was the primary leader in the African American community. He became a leading voice for African Americans. He was the Martin Luther King Jr. of that era so to say. Washington helped out African American slaves that struggled and their descendants. He was a role model for them all. Washington died at the age of 59 years old. He was buried on the Tuskegee University campus. After a 2006 study it was confirmed he died from a high blood pressure a blood pressure more than 2 times normal. Booker T. Washington is said to be one of the greatest African American leaders of all time. His respect for everyone his notions his ideas were all unbelievable. Booker was even the first African American to ever step foot in the white house ever since Teddy Roosevelt needed his advice. Booker made huge strides for the African American community. He and his methods were blossoming. He wanted to prove to everybody how African Americans have produced for the United States. He wanted to show the people that they were worth being respected. He brought forth magic to the table. A table full of well educated ideas. Booker was respected by many white Americans also. As I said earlier many whites donated to his causes they believed in him. His philosophies were his own but they damn sure helped big time in the African American community. Booker slowly was restoring faith into the African Americans. Though he did have his haters. Booker T. Washington is a remarkable name in our world today and his name will live on
