Ellie Wiesel was a Jew who was captured by the German Nazi’s during the Holocaust in 1944. He was only 15 years old when he was sent to the Concentration Camp. Ellie, his mom, his sister, and his dad was sent to the Concentration Camp in Auschwitz. In January 1945 Ellie was transported from Auschwitz to the camp in Buchenwald. He talked about how he remembered walking by the Crematorium and watching them throw babies into the ovens.

As a staff member at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Coastal Carolina, I was able to get know Hannah Mizelle quite well. Hannah was a member for over six years prior to moving to Florida. She was an absolute pleasure to have at the Club and displayed positive behavior each day. Hannah is one of the most intelligent and impactful youth that I have ever had the pleasure of interfacing with. She is kind, considerate, and carries herself in a mature fashion.

Actress Barbara Sukowa plays the role of Arendt as a complicated woman, who is a brilliant philosopher and also stubborn at times. This film revolves around Hannah’s controversial stand during the trial of ex-Nazi Adolf Eichmann, while she offered to report hearing for the New Yorker in 1961. This film was able to make an impression on audiences worldwide and won few awards as best feature film (2013, German film awards) and Barbara Sukowa as the best actress (2013, Bavarian film awards).

This line explains how Hannah Backer, the main character of Jay Asher’s book, Thirteen Reasons Why, had felt during her time in her new school before she eventually ended her life with suicide. Hannah makes tapes that explains why she turned to suicide and who drove her to it. After her suicide Clay Jenson, who had been in love with the young Hannah Backer, received the tapes from her trying to figure out how he had been a part of her suicide story. In this journal I will be evaluating why Hannah committed suicide, predicting what Clay Jenson will do next, and questioning how the others felt when they found out they were part of her suicide story.
Philosophy is a combination of two Latin words; Philo standing for love and sophy meaning wisdom. When you combine the two root words it means the love of wisdom. Knowing the literal meaning of philosophy may help us understand what philosophy; but it does not state what philosophy undoubtedly is. Over the years, philosophy has had many meaning and interpretations. In my personal opinion philosophy is using reason and logic to solve simple or complex questions.
