Avatar includes many of these clichéd characters in the film. They include a Pure Energy Being (the Na’vi God), the May-or-May-Not Be the Devil Guy (Sully which goes back and forth in who his alliance should be with), the Monoculture Alien (the Na’vi tribe), the Over-Obsessed Scientist (the research team), and the Captain Ahab (the military and RDA forces). Avatar’s casting choices also add to the “type casting” with Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriquez, and Sigourney Weaver. All these actors are mainly known for suspense, action-packed, or science-fiction movie
