Who Is To Blame For Romeo And Juliet's Death

803 Words4 Pages

I’m sure everybody has all heard of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet play. If you have ever read the play, or possibly watched movies about it, have you ever wondered what lead to the young lovers, Romeo and Juliet’s tragic death? In my opinion, there are many reasons to list why Romeo and Juliet died. A few reasons to name are: Romeo getting banished, the hate for the Montagues and Capulets (Romeo and Juliet’s families), and Romeo and Juliet falling in love at such a young age. Romeo’s family (Montagues) and Juliet’s family (Capulets), strongly dislike each other, and are rivalries. If the two families would have liked each other, Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t have to rush their marriage since they would probably be able to be together, and they would still be alive. The hate for one another somewhat relates to Romeo being banished because Tybalt (Capulet) and Mercutio (Montague) both die with the help of Romeo. If the Capulets and Montagues weren’t enemies, Romeo wouldn’t be banished, and would still be able to see Juliet. Plus, the Capulets and Montagues would most-likely be okay with Romeo and Juliet being together. In the end of the play, the Montagues and Capulets came together and became friends. If Romeo and Juliet at least faked their deaths, maybe the families would come together and end the rivalry. Although, after Romeo and Juliet die, the Capulets and Montagues became more friends than enemies, but it would have been best if they were friends in the first place, so Romeo and Juliet would not have been where they are at now
